Where can I obtain training for the Dig Safe North Idaho 811 system and processing tickets online?

Who do I contact for assistance with my ID/contact info/login and password?

When you first access the online ticketing (ITICnxt) system, you may need to register to create a new login and password. For assistance, please contact our team at [email protected] or call 1-877-668-4001.

What options do I have for processing a locate request?

For excavations in Bonner, Boundary, or Kootenai counties, you can file tickets through Dig Safe North Idaho 811’s online ticket submission system, ITICnxt, or you can call 1-800-428-4950 or 8-1-1 to process them over the phone. If you have questions about processing tickets online, contact [email protected].

How can I get help while entering a ticket online?

ITICnxt users can get help by using:

  • Live online chat – Just click the “live chat” button while logged into ITICnxt
  • Manuals and video tutorials – Training materials are available on under “Excavators”
  • Contact us by calling 1-877-668-4001

Is there a mobile app for the Dig Safe North Idaho 811 system?

Yes! The Dig Safe North Idaho 811 app is under development. More information will be released once it is live.

Will I receive a copy of my ticket with the ITICnxt system?

If you provide an email address when submitting a locate request, an email confirmation will be sent to you. Click on the link to view your ticket and a satellite map that shows the excavation area you have identified. The link found on your email confirmation also will also provide access to any tickets you process. This information is valid after January 1, 2026, for Bonner or Boundary counties.

Will I be able to process tickets 24/7?

Yes, Dig Safe North Idaho 811 processes all types of tickets 24/7/365.

ITICnxt users will be able to submit all tickets online 24/7. Requests submitted online after regular business hours will be reviewed and completed by the notification center the next business day.

Can I attach excavation site maps to my locate requests in the ITICnxt system?

You are able to attach files to a locate request with ITICnxt. ITICnxt users can attach photos, drawings, notes, or any other document from their computer to a locate request placed through the platform.

Please note that an attachment is only supplemental information to help member utilities understand your ticket. ITICnxt users MUST ensure the specific instructions in the body of the ticket clearly identifies the location of the proposed excavation area.

What if I have trouble logging into the Dig Safe North Idaho 811 online ticketing system?

The Help Desk is available to assist you with any problems you may have with logging into or accessing ITICnxt. You can reach the Help Desk during regular business hours at [email protected] or by calling 1-877-668-4001.

How do I request a search for tickets processed on or after January 1, 2026?

Dig Safe North Idaho 811 provides a comprehensive search function named Search & Status, which allows both excavators and member utilities the ability to search for Dig Safe North Idaho 811 tickets. This includes tickets processed or received AFTER January 1, 2026, in Bonner and Boundary counties and tickets processed on or after December 1, 2021, for Kootenai county.

Ticket search assistance is also available via Dig Safe North Idaho 811 Customer Support at by emailing [email protected] or calling 1-877-668-4001.
